With the introduction of smartphones and the idea of an app there has been an extended use of information systems in mobile phones. Therefore Information system is appropriately used to monitor business trends to adapt quickly to the varying environment. For instance, IS boosts the company's ability to analyze the consumer purchasing trends (Guerreiro et al. 2016). Thus this information could help them develop products that equal the current consumption trends and relatively improve the firm's profitability. Lastly, IS improves efficiency in an organization and as a result, boosts productivity.
